July 26, 2011 – Portland, Oregon: “Collective Agency”, a new cozy workplace, formerly a co-working space in Old Town, will open August 1. Open 9-5 Mon-Fri for free to individuals, and eves and weekends to volunteer groups, the revenue is from meetings to non-members in the seven conference rooms and other areas ($35/hr) and paid memberships for people who want a permanent address ($157.50/month with 24/7 access).
There are Herman Miller chairs, brick walls and natural light, but the loft, at 322 NW Sixth Ave, Suite 200, Portland, OR 97209, is now about the people who are there, the groups they represent, and the work they’re doing, whether software or screenplays, mentoring or photography, or executive coaching for non-profit boards.
Mondays 9-5 are the best days to come for the first time. Bring a laptop, write, draw, or have a conversation. You’re invited. Come and work here!
