Supportive Actions

Members Wiki > Supportive Actions

1) Fill out the first time Sign In form. It asks a whole bunch of questions about what you like and what you want.

2) Come to democratic meetings, Mondays 6-7pm and Tuesdays 3:30-4:15pm. Members can announce updates and requests, form teams, offer actionable proposals, debate, and vote. Open to the public.

3) There are some things you can be trained for, and/or teams you can start or be on. Email Council@CollectiveAgency.co with any questions on how to start. Over time more people will be the contact people for various teams.

    • Find a WordPress plugin for user profiles, so we can automate our sign in form to display profiles including photos of each person.
    • Print out 50-100 copies of our event rental pdf on glossy paper at some professional print shop and bring them here so we can give them out.
    • Each week print out calendars and put them on the restroom doors and entry/exit tables.
  • Member Participation/Ownership

      • Add an activity/event here or around town,
      • Edit the wiki,
      • Write a blog post that you think might be relevant to people here.

    • Come to a weekly civics meeting for deep conversation and to affect what we have here, Mondays 6-7pm, Tuesdays 3:30-4:15pm.
    • Do something big or small to make this place even more relevant to you. As long as it’s within the Community Guidelines, it’s fine.
  • Budget
    • Think we’re spending or earning too much, or too little, or that it could it be better spent? Volunteer to be on the budget team, or to look into something specific. All numbers here are open. The weekly democratic meeting is a great place to make a proposal and/or volunteer.
  • Operations
    • Want something to be even better in the way we operate? The weekly democratic meeting is a great place to mention something that you want to do.
  • Publicity
    • March 21st 7-10pm we are hosting the Coworking Tour. RSVP. Contact Drew to assist with press/outreach.
    • Retweet or share Collective Agency’s posts and events on Twitter and Facebook, and with your groups.
    • Write your own posts, events, and comments.
    • Take photos.
    • Write reviews on various social media including Google Places and Yelp. Link to us from other websites by writing a comment or asking for a link to be added. Tell your groups about us.
  • Sponsorship
    • Have ideas? Want to put something together/do outreach? Could be great.
  • Equity in cooperative structure
    • Each member has a vote. Members pay for things and also do actions to support what we have. People here act within the Community Guidelines. There are democratic meetings. Three members have made loans to support what we have here while benefiting themselves. We are an unincorporated association, by choice. What might you want to make even better?
  • Be elected as a representative
    • Most democracy here is direct and participatory (want to do something? do it as long as it’s within the Community Guidelines). The weekly civics meetings are a direct, deliberative (talking) democracy. The Coordinating Council also meets weekly, and is a representative democracy. You can get elected to it as one of the five members. June 15th the new terms starts. May 15th the elections will be finished and you’ll know.
  • Elections
    • We had mid-term elections in November, but we’ve grown since then. The election structure needs to be updated, and someone or some team can keep the election process accountable. When do elections start? You can decide.
